"If my Dad had listened to that bunch the Cold War would still be going on, there would have been no strategic defense initiative, and there would be no Ronald Reagan legacy worth a darn. Instead, he hung tough and we won."

Kind of like the Fable The king has no clothes.

Can you blindly follow a man, a leader, that misrepresented a War to his people. This is exactly the case. People are still saying Iraq had WMD's, lest they admit they cannot see what is not there, and appear foolish.

Pretty funny how the Democrats where saying the same thing but Bush lied. OF course he did, he just wanted to go into Iraq to kill our soliders. This argument is old. If Bush lied then I guess plenty of other people have lied to. Get over it and by the way Bush defeated Gore and Kerry just so we can rekindle that old thing to.

The Bush Haters are ridculous in this country. Keep rooting against us that always helps

Tell me then, what was the reason Bush gave the American people, for why it was imperative to invade Iraq? Noone is saying he invaded Iraq to kill american soldiers, the point is War is a serious endeavor, not something to be persued on a whim. You can't be dumb enough to believe that a long term occupation wasn't anticipated, and a large number of us casualities wasn't expected? (or are you saying the entire administration actually believed it would be a big happy Love the USA festival once we liberated these people, by destroying their nation?)

After you factor out the cost of this war economically, and in the terms of loss of life, what has been gained? Saddam has been removed as the leader of Iraq? What have the citizens of our nation gained as a result of this war? Security; hardly, considering Iraq had no way of attacking us, if anything it has sown seeds of revenge that makes us more likely for random attacks from dissidents.

I'm not going to get over the fact that he has made this country less safer by creating a terrorist haven in Iraq while ignoring another in Afghanistan while his administration was fabricating excuses for war in Iraq.

You're supposed to be of the "support the troops" crowd. Why don't you ask them to "get over it."

Oh, lets look at some facts and by the way terrorists are here it is better to deal with it than not. Any way here are some facts:

  • 1993 World Trade Center bombing (1 mth into Clinton's first term)
  • 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia (Clinton)
  • 1996 al-Khobar towers bombing (Clinton)
  • 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa (Clinton)
  • 2000 bombing of the USS Cole (Clinton)

  • 2001 attack on World Trade Center (8 mths into Bush's first term)
  • War on on terror......

Will other attacks come? I am sure but things are quiet now.
