I sometimes wish that he was a second coming of Avery Johnson.

to be honest, when nets replaced byron with this guy, i didn't have an idea who he was. i thought eddie jordan would take over. avery at least played basketball his whole career and has been around the sport his whole life.

but, actually there are some good names out there: larry brown, rick adelman, paul silas.

"The Nets will wipe the floor with the Celtics tonight so much it's not even funny. Well, maybe just a little. devilish"

You were saying?frowntongue At least you do care. All the Nets did was wipe themselves off the floor. Hopefully they can somehow make the playoffs. Looks like 50 wins is everything but alive.

at this point, the right thing for the organization as a whole to do is rebuild.

try to play itself into one of the top 3 lottery spots and get a franchise big man in oden or noah.

but from a players and coaches standpoint, they'd win the division and get knocked out early in the playoffs. in that case, they would settle for a mediocre mid level draft pick. if that's the case, as a fan, you pray vince stays here (which i doubt considering orlando is home and that team might be a player like him away from being an elite team for years).

therefore, it might be smart to deal him now and get whatever you can in return. i agree it's like throwing the white flag to the season but the future of the nets can be that much better.

The right thing to do is keep fighting and hope to the Lord that the Nets pull off a big run, make a trade for a big men, go home with a ring at the end and this will be history. Too bad, that's not gonna happen though. Keep fighting. That's all I have to say. Keep fighting and gut it out.

even if they did keep fighting, this team can't win a championship without any size. and that's what we as fans want.

Just keep fighting and hope. As fans that is what we should do. If the Cardinals and Steelers won their championships without being a favorite, we can. Especially that the NBA playoffs are grueling... Just keep fighting and hope that you are in the playoffs contending for the playoffs.

Just...Keep....Going....Don't....Give....Up.....

I will most likely end that discussion with that thought. Just keep fighting. Kidd only has a few years left in him. Don't give up.

fighting and hoping can only do so much though. and basketball is an entire different sport from baseball and basketball.

The Nets aren't done yet. Give me your judgment when we are done with January, ok? They still have PLENTY of time left. All we can do is hope that the team can do something positive...
