Just wanted to throw some facts out there to everyone who thinks Lorenzen is a bum and could never start for our Giants to spell Eli during his never-ending "slump." Doesn't sound like a bad option to me

Four-year starter who had to master three different offenses due to several coaching changes during his time with the Wildcats ⁈ ¦ Mature field general with the frame of a down lineman, but possesses above-average quickness ⁈ ¦

Started 41 of 43 games, completing 862 of 1,514 passes (56.9 percent) for 10,354 yards, 78 touchdowns and 41 interceptions, topping the old school career records of 795 completions of 1,184 passes for 8,435 yards and 74 scores by Tim Couch (1996-98) ⁈ ¦ Added 283 yards and 12 touchdowns on 279 carries (1.0 avg.) ⁈ ¦ Gained 10,637 yards in total offense on 1,793 plays, surpassing the old school all-time records of 1,338 plays for 8,160 yards by Couch ⁈ ¦ Also set another Kentucky record with 90 touchdowns responsible for ⁈ ¦

He also made his mark in the Southeastern Conference record books ⁈ ¦ Holds the SEC all-time records for pass attempts (1,514, topping the old mark of 1,402 by Georgia's Eric Zeier, 1991-94) and total plays (1,793, broke the previous record of 1,560 by Zeier) ⁈ ¦ His 862 pass are topped only by Peyton Manning of Tennessee (863, 1994-97) in conference history ⁈ ¦ His 10,354 yards passing rank behind Danny Wuerffel of Florida (10,875, 1993-96), Zeier (11,153) and Peyton Manning (11,201) in the SEC's record books ⁈ ¦ His 78 touchdown tosses rank behind Eli Manning of Mississippi (81, 2000-03), Peyton Manning (89) and Wuerffel (114) on the conference record list ⁈ ¦ His 10,637 yards in total offense is topped only by Zeier (10,841) and Peyton Manning (11,020) in SEC history ⁈ ¦ Only Peyton Manning (101) and Wuerffel (122) were responsible for more touchdowns in SEC annals.
