angry Did you catch Boomer Esiason dissing Arod during the halftime show of the Patriots-Colts game? He said that if the Colts lost Peyton Manning would need to move into Arod's neighborhood. Esiason is a fine one to talk. What did he ever accomplish except losing to the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII (11/25 for 144 yrds, 1 INT, 0 TD). Shut up Boomer!

I don't know why this is in the Blog section, but yes, I heard him say it. I think what he was referring to was that they are each the highest paid player in his respective sport and have a reputation of choking in big games.

That was a bad comparison by Boomer since although Manning may not have made it into the championship until this year at least in the playoffs he was exciting and he realized the team was riding on his shoulders. Not so with our beloved Arod who is as exciting as grass growing and I guy who's fans take no responsibility when he goes into his patented deep freeze in the playoffs year after year. Even though he was acquired to change a game with one swing of the bat or the other four tools of a five tool player that he was supposed to be.

Anyway Boomer was reminding everyone that their is much more to being a star than being the highest price players in their respective leagues. Put up or shut up time and Manning put up the most spectacular game that I have ever seen since the Namath Unites game a yr after the Jets Superbowl victory. Next yr I believe Arod will have to put up or shut up, if he does not have a fantastic yr his whole career will be remembered for not being able to get in done even if he winds up with 800 HRs. I take that back there still be guys like yourselves that will blame the other 23 Yankees, Jeter or Joe Torre.
