1) he only has around 40 mil left on the deal.

2) He also has a no-trade, and they asked MONTHS ago if he'd consider waiving it, and he said no.

No chance. Giambi is here to stay, and really, his production is way better than Bernie's.

The only way Bernie is on this team is if Phelps or Phillips bombs during ST and Cash and Torre decide a 5th outfielder really is the better way to go than carrying three first-basemen.
