angryAm I the only one out there that feels that Michael Kay is the worst Yankee announcer in history?? I've been a Yankee fan for over 50 years, both at the ball park and on TV/Radio. I go back to the Mel Allen/Red Barber days. I loved Phil Rizzuto/Bill White stuff. But Michael Kay is the worst!! He treats all viewrers as if they know as little about the game as he does. He constantly belittles that Yankee team and harps on anything negative about any of the players. A-Rod is having one of the greatest months in the history of the game, but MK announces to the baseball world that he is in a slump, pointing out 1 for 14, reiterating the same throughout his at bat and, of course, closing with "he's now 1 for 15". Kay never played the game, but continually criticizes those who do. When did it become necessary to analyze every pitch, every swing, every movement, every look and everything that goes on during a game. I'm sure I'm not rhe only one that finds him egocentric, self effacing, boring and especially, anti-Yankee in his presentation. He roots for the opposition and gets extremely excited when they do well. His trademark 'See-ya' should be reserved for Yankee homers only, not for the opposition. Yes, I like an announcer who roots for the home team. (Look up Phil Rizzuto in your Funk and Wagnalls). In sort, Michael Kay is a jerk who makes me want more and more to watch the Yankee games with the mute button pushed. Get rid of him before he loses you a lot of Yes support. We'll never stop being Yankee fans, but the 'Yes Gear' will not be on my shelf as long as he's around. - - See ya

Whats he supposed to say that Arod gets a hit every at bat? Or lie and say he is on fire right now? Jeeze people look for anything to say anything bad about kay, sort of like most of you people did with Arod last year. Just because Kay isn't totally Yankee biased and calls it as it is doesn't make him a bad announcer.

How many MLB games have you called play by play for on a team's network?
