It's really too bad that Steve Goldman feels the need to pontificate on political subjects. There are other far more informed and intelligent places for that. This is supposed to be a baseball/sports site. I for one am not interested in his political views on the war in Iraq but apparently he has remarkable foresight. Before General Petraeus spoke one word at the congressional hearing Goldman dismissed him as preparing to mislead the Congress on the war. Amazing! Perhaps he can share his gift by telling us with his unerring certainty who will win the World Series. The next time you want to denigrate someone's honesty Mr. Goldman, you would be better served to listen to their comments first. Better still, stick to baseball related subjects. At least you have some creditbility there.

I noticed that as well in the recent article. What's up with that???

I can't beleive that YES thinks that cheap-shot political innuendo is appropriate content on any part of it programming. That guy has enough problems trying to make his sports/baseball articles interesting enough to read (since he is obviously a very poor writer and a dim wit), he shouldn't dilute his efforts by straying into areas outside of his self-proclaimed "expertise."
