"Look at his entire body of work" - yes, with an expansion team full of players who were lucky to have a job

"The players will still playing hard for him at the end of the season" - yeah, like the Saints game?

I can't watch this video podcast. The Giants are turning into the Arizona Cardinals before my very eyes. For the first time, I want the Maras to SELL THE TEAM.

I think Mara did what he had to do, try and sell this decision as best he can, but it didn't work. I agree, look at his body of work? Well, sure, he had a few good years with Jacksonville, but when it went bad, it went really, really bad, and his time here in NY, his "body of work" in here has been bad. They did this cause they didn't want to be hassled with having to hire a new GM and then sending that new GM right out there to hire a new coach, which is a joke to me. Plus, I think they want to replace Coughlin with a big name. Stupid, stupid, stupid. They think waiting a year will give them a chance at Charlie Weis. No way. He has gone out of his way to say he won't leave Notre Dame and while I think he would eventually, I don't think he would after only three years (he went there, has ties to the school, wants his kid to go there). They are also interested in Cowher. Well, what guarantee is there that Cowher, after next year, will either want to come back at all or want to come to the Giants? I would have liked to have seen them go out and take a chance on a young coordinator. The guy from San Diego, the offensive coordinator, whose name escapes me, has developed TWO very good QB's in his time there. Maybe he could turn Eli and the offense around. Or how about Rex Ryan, Ravens D-coordinator? Has developed a GREAT D with the Ravens for years now, has good lineage, and could address the Giants biggest problem not named Eli, the defense. Instead, it is at least one more year, possibly two more years of the Coughlin face. Bad day to be a Giants fan
