Giants got Coughlin for DISCIPLINE!

The Giants were guilty of two major blunders.

Pro Bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey was called for a delay penalty (spiking the ball) after a first-down catch at the Packers 16 late in the first half with the score tied at 7. He later dropped a potential first-down pass at the Green Bay 3 just seconds later, forcing Tynes to make a 48-yard field goal and give the Giants a 10-7 lead.

Veteran Amani Toomer also had an embarrassing mistake. He was called for a taunting penalty at the Green Bay 8 a couple of plays before New York settled for Tynes' second field goal, cutting the Packers lead to 14-13 in the third quarter. Instead of third-and-goal at the Green Bay 8, New York was pushed back to the 23.

Coughlin's idea of discipline is forcing players to come 30 minutes early to team meetings.

I agree with most of what you said but at the end of the day the Defense is killing us. Everyone needs to get their act together.

Um, those penalties TOOK US OUT OF THE GAME.

Funny how the defense collapsed when the offense made idiotic penalties to take points off the board.

when has this defense needed a excuse to just be bad. Do you have confidence without those penalties they could have made a important stop? I haven't seen it in the last couple of years.

They need defense, period. They have no pass rush, no secondary. the only one worth anything on their defense is Pierce. a joke totally.

Strahan Is selfish, period. He needs to go but then again who is there to replace him? Jerry Reese better start drafting stud defensive players in the draft next year or we are gonna see a lot of 3-13 or 4-12 years. The defense was horrible last year and what did they do, nothing to improve. They sign this LB from KC Mitchell. How good was there defense last year and they signed him for the veteran minimum. The Kiwanuka experiment has got to end, its not working. Only the Giants would do this. The guy proved he can rush the passer last year and they take him out of his natural spot. A joke.

once again Kiwanuka proved he can play a decent LB last week at the Eagles. Maybe it's just going to take time. I still think we could get rid of Strahan and start Justin Tuck. Strahan has alot of value and I don't see it growing anymore than it is.
