i've defended him in the past...


but all this in the past 2 weeks has been unacceptable...


how can a # 1 draft pick be this bad with all those offensive weapons?

Because the "weapons" are not really as good as they're cracked up to be. The line has breakdowns. Plaxico is so hurt he's largely ineffective now. Jacobs keeps breaking down physically. Ward just got hurt for the 2nd time. Shockey goes on mental vacation for some games, and for some periods within games. Toomer is reliable, but just a possession receiver. Moss is electric, but doesn't really understand what he supposed to do out there yet. Smith can't get on the field. Tyree is a multi-year disappointment.

i think they are as good as advertised, but eli can't utilize them properly

OK, that's cool. We'll never really know until someone replaces Eli. And by then, odds are, Toomer will be retired, and Shockey and Burress will be declining.
