that stinks villone declines arbitration per rotoworld--------hopes for a 2 year deal, could come back to yankees.

It's probably a pre-arranged deal. The Yankees offer arbitration with the understanding that it will be declined. Yankees get a draft pick if he goes elsewhere, but there is already a deal in the works. They do this sort of thing from time to time.

i don't believe you get draft picks anymore. we are now under the new collective bargining agreement and that is gone.
