Runelvys Hernandez was considered one of the Royals⁈⁚ bright young prospects. Now he⁈⁚s 28 and a free agent after being cut loose by Kansas City this week. He won⁈⁚t cost much, and he still has a great arm, assuming he⁈⁚s healthy.

He is a Pitcher. I think the Yanks should invest in him they don't have anything to lose. This is how a lot of times you get lucky and find some good cheap pitchers

Sure he might not cost much but there's a reason why he was cut by the Royals. Did you see his numbers? He's terrible.

Pass.

I know is numbers are not good, but he has potencial and a good arm besides he was playing with the Royals. I see it has a low risk move.

I thought the same thing when I saw he was cut. Couldn't hurt to keep him at Columbus a la Hideo Nomo but I'm guessing too many other teams need help at the major league level for that to happen. Not really a big deal anyways.

P.S. it really stinks that I had to register under a new name just to get on. No I wasn't banned but the stinking Boards wouldn't let me in as GeorgeRocks!

I would agree that he might have potential if he was in his early-mid 20's but Hernandez will be 29 next year. Plus he's been injured a lot.

The Yankees can sign him to a minor league deal but I wouldn't expect more than that.
