when i think about it, wade fits the knicks more than melo or lebron since you already got chandler

as with the 4, amare since he has experience in the system

Don't the knicks not have a first round pick in 2010, because the utah jazz have it? I'm not sure if that's right, but I think that would hurt their chances a little bit. Right now, I don't think they have the talent to put around Lebron, and if they don't have another first round pick to build with, than I think that is really worse.

It isn't all about talent. Lebron wants to play in a large market, and he will probably end up in New York.

Lebron isn't coming alone, Amare or Bosh will be on the plane to NY with him. The Knicks will look for an inside impact player to go along with Lebron.

All you Net fans are delusional, Lebron will be a Knick in 2010, so will Bosh or Amare. It's such a crying shame that you guys will have to come down to earth after eight years of being on top. When the Knicks were good, nobody even knew the Nets exsisted, even after they moved out of NY they still were invisible. The Net fans are just dreading the inevitable day the Knicks are great again and the Nets are where they belong and where they were for thirty five years before the Knick dark days, nonexsistent.

So your assuming the Nets won't do anything with their free cap space. That is foolish. The Nets didn't trade RJ for no reason... if they don't pick up a star free agent, they will make a huge trade. The Nets aren't just going to say "we surrender" once they witness the Knicks signing a big star. Also, I don't believe they will sign 2 free agents. Don't make those conclusions now.

Even if the Nets counter with a trade, if the Knicks become good again they will get all of the attention. Not just more attention than the Nets, but more attention than any team in basketball. It isn't a coincidence that the NBA became very unpopular when the Knicks started to su(k. The NBA needs the Knicks to be good again if the NBA wants to get its reputation back to what it once was. No offense but I can't stand a lot of Net fans twothousanders because a good number of them became fans in 2000. Yankee fans who are spoiled are called 96ers because they didn't experience any losing, Net fans who became fans in 2000 are the same thing. The fact is the 2000ers don't realize what the Knicks were at one time, and that the Nets had to move out of NY just to get attention and it still didn't work. While I wasn't around for the great Knicks teams between the late 60's and late 70's, I was alive for the early to late 90's. I remember the Knicks, along with MJ and the Bulls and Miller and the Pacers, were the main attraction in basketball and the Nets were, well, nobody. Again no offense, but when the Knicks are great the Nets won't matter.

Your talking about what the Knicks have been in the past, and then you are predicting them to be on top in the coming years. You are assuming the Knicks will be on top, and that the fans will be so far above the Nets fans. No one knows for sure what the Knicks will do, and no one knows what the Nets will do. You assume the Nets will be cr.ap, and that the knicks will be championship contenders. That isn't a rational assumption. Even if the Knicks add Wade or Amare to their roster, they are going to be only 5-6 seed. You need to have some guys who can produce along the superstar. The Knicks don't have much talent right now. All I am saying is to not make the assumption that the Knicks will be on top and the Nets will be in the basement of the East.

By the way, all of the Nets fans that jumped onto the bandwagon in 2000 have probably stopped watching the games by now.

Even today, no one knows that the Nets exist. With the Knicks being bad, NY is a dead basketball town. The sport is dead in the biggest media market in the country. And the NBA wonders why they're struggling to keep up with MLB or NFL.

The Knicks will sign two suprstars is what I'm saying. It will not be one guy. Also, the days of the Knicks being patsies are almost over. If they add Lebron and Bosh, or Lebron and Amare, they will be near the top. The Celtics had one of the worst records in basketball the year before they added Garnett and Allen. Chandler is a young rising star and Lee is good. Add in Lebron and Bosh or Amare and you have a legitimate champion contender. As for the Nets, you missed the point. Even if the Knicks and Nets are equal in two years the Knicks will still get all of the attention because in basketball the Knicks are the Yankees and Giants of this town while the Nets are the Mets and the Jets.
