Non Rangers:

Patrick Rissmiller - 3rd line player. Don't expect much from him. If you want to learn more about him, ask the San Jose Shark fans.

Aaron Voros - An effective cheap shot artist who can hurt superstar players (I think Sather wants to hurt Crosby devilish).

Andreas Jamtin - A Sweden agitator. Most hated player in Sweden. Think of him as Sean Avery.

Wade Redden - A offensive Defenseman who is slightly better than Rozy defensively and offensively.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rangers:

Roszival angry - COMPLETELY overpaid for him. Expect him to be gone when Sanguinetti and De Zotto makes it to NHL.

Valliquette - Great backup goalie

This will be updated if the Rangers make another move.

Dellapina said we have around 9 million left, maybe a little more if they move players. Forget Hossa and Sundin, we can't afford that. From what I read Sundin was offered 10 mill per, Hossa wants 9 mill? We don't have the money. Basically we get one of those players and we no money to get anything else and trust me we have other needs. I know people get tired of me saying this but doesn't Jagr make more sense? Much cheaper, and wayyyy less years. He can fill the gap so you don't have all these long term contracts at once, then maybe one of kids in the rangers system will be ready.

the way jagr played in the playoffs, yeah i want that player back .. but the player we had during the year who pouted because he didnt have nylander and now that straka is gone, he might not click with this team .. that said, he still will probably get more points then any ranger .. i'll take him back, but he wants superstar money

I think with another year together him and Dubinsky will be much better.

I think Jagr wants two years, that seems to be more important to him than the per year number, he's a prideful guy. Let's not forget he was offered ridiculous money to play in Russia so if money was all that mattered he would be long gone. I think he has his mind set that he wants to play two more years in the NHL then finish up his career playing for his father in the Czech Republic.

I'm just looking at how much money has been spent and I don't know how we can get everything we need, just seems to make sense to keep Jagr for now.

Remember they talked about Drury playing wing, what about him playing with Gomez on the same line?

http://rangers.lohudblogs.com/2008/07/02/tyutin-and-backman-to-columbus/

The Columbus Dispatch says the Rangers have traded defensemen Fedor Tyutin and Christian Backman to Columbus in exchange for forwards Nikolai Zherdev and Dan Fritsche.

A cap-clearing move?
