I have made meatloaf with bacon strips and mozzarella cheese in the middle. Also, I always use ketchup but like your idea of a tomato instead...always hot sauce on everything!! Oh and also I use chilli powder. The rest of your meatloaf looks like mine. See we can agree on foodwink

Amazingly I generally make my meatloaf with bacon and cheese, my fiance didn't want the extra calories.

I normally line the loaf pan with bacon put in about a third of the mixture, add a layer of cheese, then the rest of the meatloaf. Cook the same way, but after it rests, I flip it out of the loaf pan and onto a baking sheet back into the oven to crisp the bacon. If done right, you can basically slice it to line up with the bacon (almost a full strip of bacon on every piece)..

When Kathy gets around to it, she will be able to post to validate, that I am not just making this stuff up, she actually gets to eat what I cook. Of course she thinks I am trying to turn her into a house, which is far from accurate.

The best part about the scrambled eggs done like that is they come out with a silky texture, and an almost completely different flavor than you would expect (It is hard to describe you have to try it). The tomatoes just have an excellent color, and it makes a nice impression on the plate, the bacon is a little out of place, I was going to use Mushroom caps, but somehow the package fell out of my cart in the store.

<Where did all you men learn to cook??>

College. It was either learn or starve. I leaned on my Italian Grandmother for alot of what I know about the kitchen. The rest came from Mom, alot of experience, and an old GF who was a gourmet cook. She could make dog poop taste great.

Yummy....delish, will definitely try the pears. Here's another pear recipe:

Pears St Helene

In a skillet add half a stick of butter when melted add about half cup of sugar and juice from one lemon and 1/2 large orange or a small one, add peeled halved pears . Reduce flame and cook till pears are well coated and soft and sauce have thickened . Add to it pernod and light to flame. In a bowl filled with a scoop of vanilla ice cream pour pear half with syrup..

Pernod has a slight anise flavor, you can subsitute with rum.

I can definately see that recipe working, I will try it out this week, just need my taste tester to agree :)

I am guessing about 15-20 minutes total cook time?

Depending how ripe the pears are..... if pears are hard add more juice. Cooking time anywhere from 10-20 mins. Pierce with knife to test for doneness.

His cooking is really amazing. I'm not a fan of meatloaf but I really liked his and OMG, the eggs he made were really good.

A few weeks ago he made stuffed shrimp. He made a stuffing using japanese bread crumbs and then wrapped the the shrimp in bacon with the stuffing.

This is why I am on a CONSTANT DIET NOW!!!!!angry
