1964 Phillies' Collapse WAS Worse

Over
a seven day period, the Phillies lost a 6 1/2 game lead and trailed the
first place Reds by one full game. That was more extreme than the 2007
Mets' collapse.

i dnt think it was being that the mets blew a bigger lead . and they lost 6 of 7 to thr worst teams in the league , at home no less

I'm not sure of who the 64 Phils played, but it cant get much worse than the Muts.


All they had to do was to split with 2 horrible teams at home and they couldn't even do it.


They won 1 of 6 from 2 horrible teams. Even 2 wins would have given them a 1 game playoff.
