Mets fans are boring, Every year is the exact imitation as the year before. They talk trash about how they're better than the Yankees. They start out hotter than the Yankees and declare this their time. Then, the Yankees pull ahead in the summer and go the playoffs. The Mets fans are nowhere to be found and don't come out again until the offseason to repeat the same process.

It gets old really fast. I can't even get angry at it anymore. Now, it's just funny. You almost want to pet them on the ehad and say," silly Met fan, it will never be your time. You'll always be number two."

they were extremely quiet this off season you didn't hear a peep out of them. They trade & sign santana and every met fan crawls from under their rock spitting out the words this is a met town now. lol you have a point Ironhorse every yr is the same thing I wonder if this would still be a met town if they failed to make the PS even with johan.

i only agree with him about the starting pitching , i would say they are about even in the bullpen with the yanks getting the edge there if joba starts the season in the pen.

true if joba is in the pen it definitely helps the yanks in ending games after the 6th inning

I'm not a fan of his. I hate when he fills in on a radio show. This is one thing I hate about baseball season in NY. There is no need to compare the Mets and Yankees. They're in 2 different leagues and divisions. Daughtry should have been comparing the Mets team to the rest of the NL not the Yankees. Does this go on in other 2 baseball team state? Do the Astro and Ranger fans compare and worry about how good their team is compared to the other team in the state? How about Philly and Pirate fans, Reds and Indians? Sorry but I just find this annoying when it's baseball season in NY.

This is a feeling I don't know, but it seems when you're the 2nd team in town, you constantly try to compare yourself to and tear down the number 1 team. I'm lucky, I cheer for the Yankees, Giants, Knicks and Rangers. Those are the teams that get all the coverage, even if the 2nd team in town is doing better at the moment. I don't know how I would feel if I cheered for the inferior team.

Well the Jets,Mets,Islanders and Nets may be inferior but there's no need to dump on the popular teams in town. By the way those teams have a combined 7 championships. LOL! As opposed to the Yankees,Giants,Knicks and Rangers with 39. Yeah anyway how old is Daughtry? I've never understood older people like him that grew up in the tri-state area but root for the teams that haven't been around as long. cough Joe Benigo cough Who exactly where they rooting for before those teams came to existence?

It's easy to understand. They were born around the time that those teams were formed. So they wanted to rebel against the establishment and cheer against their parents teams. Unfortunately, by being rebellious they have tied themselves to a lifetime of inferiority and jealousy. It's funny how the choices some people make when their younger can haunt them as they get older. This is certainly one of those situations for Daughtry and Benigno. Although, Benigno is a Knicks and Rangers fan, so I can't dump on him.
