willie is managing scared. Why not pinch hit for your sp if you will pull him once he puts runners on scoring position?

It really isn't his fault, Minaya did a horrible job putting together that team.

what more can minaya do? willie is scared to lose his job so he is managing not to lose early in this season rather than building the confidence of his starter. It does not make sense not to pinch hit for the pitcher with runner on scoring position then pulled him with 1st and 2nd with 1 out.

I didn't see the game but if a team like the Mets can't score more then 1 run a game, the problem isn't Willie.

it is if the team stop playing for him and he lost the team. I think willie will be let go soon bec. the team has no energy.

that is part of the manager's job to make sure his players plays hard. If the players do not palys hard for the manager then it is easier to replace 1 person.
