what in the heck is Thomas doing? he has Lee starting but sits Randolph? i swear, the guy is trying anything in his power to get fired.

He could increase his chances of winning by having both Lee and Randolph starting.

- Zach Randolph
-David Lee
- Balkman or Jeffries
- Crawford
- Robinson

they stink anyway so why not have the energetic guys who try to get things done a shot.

They would lose either way, the team is horrible.

One possible trade that will set them up for next season:

Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson, Fred Jones (expiring contract), 2008 1st rd draft pk, 2008 2nd rd draft pk for
Ron Artest, Brad Miller and their 2008 1st rd draft pk..(the money matches according to realgm.com

Knicks would have
Artest
Randolph
Miller
Crawford
Marbury

Lee
Balkman
Robinson
Jeffries
Chandler
Rose
Collins

It's not much. But getting rid of Curry and getting Artest would be a huge trade. Artest brings pizaze and intensity the Knicks have lacked since their finals run in 1999. Curry is probably the weakest minded, hearted player in the league. He has no motivation or desire. He gives up too easily and plays no defense. He doesn't care when Isiah takes him out immediately after the opening tip off. Brad Miller is a better option who is a white man version of Kurt Thomas to play agressive defense and good fundamental offense. David Lee would also get more minutes with this move which is an additional bonus.

i like your idea but i have a problem with having 4 knuckle heads together in 1 team.

Artest
Randolph
Marbury
Robinson

too many nuts if you ask me.

Well..Marbury is the only one that worries me to be honest. Artest needs a change of scene even though he says he's happy in Sactown, I'm sure he'd thrive coming to play for the Knicks in his hometown. The Garden crowd will adopt him b/c they have notihng more to cheer about-besides maybe D-Lee and firing Zeke. But unlike Marbury, another NY native that didn't ban out-Artest has the inner desire and intensity that will make him thrive.

Randolph was a headcase in Portland bc his team stunk. He was also doing alot of drugs. I think/hope those problems are besides him. Nate is just an excitable guy and he may rub opponents the wrong way when he gets hyped up and talking trash but the truth is he's a good kid that always hustles and that means more to me than what the opposition thinks of him.

I'd rather have those 4 guys playing together than have 2 softies like Curry and QRich remain.

This coming from a Knick fan that isn't sure whether or not to continue watching any more actiont his season until something like this trade, Isaih getting canned or Dolan selling the team happens.

Trust me, don't even try to trade for Artest.

You'll just make things even worst and it'll be harder to root for the Knicks.

I noticed a few things over the past 4 or 5 games. When David Lee and Nate Robinson are on the floor the team plays passionately and hustles but when Curry is on the floor they seem to mope around and get lazy. It's not on Isiah, at least not totally. He puts a really good team on the floor but they seem to give up towards the 4th quarter no matter the score. They need heart and fire the WHOLE game not just the first few quarters. After he made the statement "they have no heart" the team came out the next day and played with more heart and passion than I've seen all season AND it was against a very good Cavs team (with LeBron that is). The players need to stop worrying about the flashing lights of NYC and all the booty they can get and start playing like they care.

the only way for the knicks to be good is to be bad for 3 yrs and let those contracts go away. In those 3 yrs, no more bad contracts.

I highly doubt the kings would accept that trade.
