It hasn't been a "scientific consensus" that the Earth is flat since before the first century A.D. However, Christians continued to believe the Earth is flat long afterward.

oh man- you must hate humans and therefore hate yourself. Why?

did you not get enough hugs when you were a child?

did mommy and daddy laugh at you?

many species go extinct naturally- just like the dinosaurs did without us touching them. we have saved species from extinction.

There is more vegetation due to humans than not. There are more trees in North America now than back in the revolution days just for the fact we can put the fires out and grow them. Trees are a crop and we can grow them.

did all the kids in school pick on you while a child?

Your opinion is that humans are only destructive creatures? If true - we must have been built that way. It does not happen by chance, and if you think that we have no significant power to improve the earth, then we do not have the power to destroy it either.

Did you eat paint chips as a child?

And what is your problem bud?? You insult me for just making a very
objective point of view?? It doesn't have anything to do with my
childhood. Humans are just naturally "takers and not "givers". We
give nothing back to the planet or make it more beautiful. Have humans
created anything as beautiful as what nature already gave us???

Where is your evidence that there are more trees ???

How about children?

We create chiildren right?

Or is that nature creating children?

We are made by nature and if nature if beautiful- then we are beautiful because we were made by nature. Why would nature build something that would destroy the earth unless it was designed that way?

I really love the jacka ss too - we made that. Ice Tea rocks too so do paintings, sculptures, and the scent of hamburgers and steaks cooking on a grill- yum yum yum yum.

Nature gave us the ability to use things in a way only humans can. We were given the gift of manipulation and the abilty to design and to create. We have the ability to save lives, build great things, put fires out, - if you cannot see how humans stand far above any other living thing on this earth- you cannot see anything positive. When you have such a negative attitude about humans, what is one to do.

I am actually sorry for hurting your feelings before- I really do feel bad for you that you have this view of the world that we are bad and evil. There are evil people yes, but the majoirty of people are good and do good things. You cannot expect all humans to be great, but in the end good humans outweigh the bad humans. So yes some humans start fires, others put them out. Some fires though are started by lightning (most cases) and we stop them. Some humans kick cats for the he ll of it- other humans take them in and treat them with love and care.

You think all humans are bad for what a few do? We have improved the earth- if not than why are we here? and if it is not to improve it- then it is to destroy it?? Please- tell me there is hope for you.

Maybe it is for us to live and I cannot imagine all the gifts given to mankind are here for nothing.

Maybe you are just a doom and gloom kind of guy- wake up- you are human- you do nothing to improve the earth? Are you special? Parents improve the world everyday and so do children. Have you never pruned a dying tree back to life or planted a tomato plant? Or saved a person from making a mistake or listened to a friend going through a bad time?

Maybe you do not consider these as things that improve the earth- but if we are part of nature then we are part of the earth, so improving a human being even if it your own self is improving the earth in my eyes.

I went and counted all the trees during the revolution days and just the other week- we have more now.cool

we can plant trees and we can limit the damage to trees via fire, disease, and other natural events now.

I would put money on it.

But then again- I am one of those who believe 90% of the earth is undeveloped land and that if you put every human side by side- it would only fill up the same amount of space as say Delaware.

It doesn't have anything to do with good versus evil or procreating or
steaks on the grill or if humans are superior. You are missing the
over-all philosophical issue here. Humans are just not necessary. The
rest of the planet or the other creatures do not need us.

I have pruned many trees, planted thousands of trees, planted gardens
flowers and etc. That doesn't mean I improved the world. Nature would
have done those things without me. I only improved the world from a
human point of view, not from the planet's point of view

wow- it is pointless to have an intellectual conversation with you.

Just keep looking down on us from your pedestal you built for yourself to make yourself feel more important and superior than everyone else. When you are ready to come down and join the human race, I will talk to you.

His mother dropped him on his head when he was an infant and he's spent all the decades since trying to figure out whether she did it on purpose or not.
