frownSHOULD POSADA BE REPLACED AS THE EVERYDAY CATCHER BY THE "ITALIAN STALLION"--IS IT JUST MY IMAGINATION OR ARE THE YANKEES NOT THE SAME WITH POSADA IN THE LINEUP--PASSED BALLS, STEALING BASES, TAKING THIRD STRIKES, LAZY BEHIND THE PLATE, CANT RUN , HITS INTO DOUBLE PLAYS, ERRORS , ETC--OR MAYBE I JUST DONT LIKE HIM--FOR ME THE TEAM IS DIFFERENT THAN IT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO WITH HIM IN THE LINEUP!

You couldn't get an answer on the other forum so you are trying here? Well here it is POSADA IS THE EVERY DAY CATCHER! Read his stats, you do not put a rookie in their to replace an all time Yankee favorite who can still hit and throws out over 30 of the runners. Grow up or take a walk in the desert in arizona.

If the Yankees had guts, they would make Posada a DH. But the Yankees don't seem to be that kind of team.

It's not your imagination, the chemistry and karma on the team has changed since Posada came back. There will be no more 3-2, or 2-1 wins. We had many well pitched games when he was out. The teams era is going back up to Posada's cera now which is approx. 6.60. But don't complain too loud as there are people on the board who are still looking to the "CORE" players(Jeter, Posada,Rivera) to lead us to the promise land. Never mind that they are all at least ten years past their prime(96-99), some people feel that they are getting younger, NOT older. They say: "Mo will be fine" or "I want Jeter up at the plate in crunch time" or "Posada is the heart and soul of the team". And they will be saying this up until the "CORE" players will have to take their positions in the field in wheel chairs. So from here on out, we will forget about another championship and just keep saluting our "CORE" players who brought us those rings back in the 90's and we'll just keep them in the lineup until they decide they don't want to play anymore. Whatever you do.....Don't criticize them, we'll just have to wait until they step down on their own before we can think about another championship.
