If the Giants don't trade up, I hope they draft Kieth Rivers. He would be a huge pickup!

We have depth at O-line in Rugemar and Guy Whimper, dont foget that Whimper was a serious candiate to start at LT.

Anyone think Keith Rivers could still be available when the Giants pick?

I higly doubt that Reese will trade up. It's too expensive to do and there are alot of diamonds in the rough. He has a pretty good eye for them. I thought the man was crazy last year outside of the Ross and Bradshaw draftings.

USC's Jarrett hasn't played at all, USC's Smith has looked great. What if he would have traded up to get Jarrett? That's just a hypothetical question but you can see my point. Sometimes the highest players on the draft charts are not the best players. Jarrett ended up the 3rd-4th STRING receiver he caught 6 passes all year. Smith caught only 8 during the year but he saw the field and was hurt. He's got 9 catches for 102 in the playoffs so far. Maybe things will be different next year, but so far Smith looks promising. Jarrett still has 4 guys ahead of him.

I'm betting Reese pulls the same type of picks out of this years draft. Just solid football players.

Yeah but that guy from the steelers is an upgrade. He's 6'7" and 330, young and he's a beast. Pro Bowl type Tackle. If they don't sign him then they need to draft another guy just to keep everyone hungry and fresh. Competition is a good thing.

Last year he did not have anything to play around with. Now he has found his TE in Boss and has a surplus of RB, not saying he needs to trade one, but it is an option. Shockey will be very valuable to a team like the Dolphins who are starting from square one and could really build their offence and new franchise around a guy like shockey. They dont have a guy right now that is a franchise palyer. Ginn is not that guy, neither is beck, taylor will be traded, so Shockey is a match made in heaven for them.

I sure hope you are right because I'm counting on them getting rid of Shockey. He messes up the whole chemistry of our offense. Trent Green would love a guy like him though, and he would fit in a lot better down there with an outspoken veteren QB. No way do we get a first rounder though.
