The newest rankings I have seen for the CB position are:

1. Mike Jenkins South Florida 6-0 200 4.50
2. Leodis McKelvin Troy 5-11 190 4.45
3. Aqib Talib Kansas 6-2 205 4.55
4. Justin King Penn St. 6-0 186 4.40
5. Patrick Lee Auburn 6-0 201 4.45
6. Brandon Flowers Virginia Tech 5-10 200 4.50
7. Jack Ikegwuonu Wisconsin 6-1 193 4.50
8. Tracy Porter Indiana 5-11 185 4.40
9. Charles Godfrey Iowa 6-1 208 4.40
10. Antoine Cason Arizona 6-0 185 4.55
11. Trae Williams South Florida 5-10 185 4.40
12. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Tennessee St. 6-2 170 4.45

I'm telling you- I think that the Giants can get one of :

Cromartie, Talib, or Godfrey

They are all 6'1" or better with 4.4 speed. Cromartie should be #3 or #4 on that list. I think this guy is way off. Talib may fall in the draft as well, depends on the combine. He was a junior so no senior bowl exp for him. Most coaches like to see how these guys do against the best in the country. Anyways if we can get Cromartie at #31, it's a steal. He reminds me of young Al Harris but bigger, with great ball skills. This is the type of guy we need to cover Moss, T.O. and other tall receivers. I've seen his 40 time lower than it is listed. We will see soon enough.

If he's around by 31, I'd take him over anyone. But I highly doubt that he will be there. He's touted as the very best shut down corner in the draft. Some boards have him in the top 10 and some have him in the early second round. Hard to tell where other teams scouts have him on their boards. That said, if I was a scout for a team that needed a CB he's top on my list. Jenkins and Cromartie are my top three with Godfrey at #4 just on his potential alone. I would not be upset to see any of these guys on the team. If I see great things out of Webster in the Super Bowl this is subject to change. Webster has a lot of potential, he just hasn't come close to reaching it until recently. If I saw great things out of him and he's finally turned the corner then I'd take a Safety. There could be a solid LB at 31 but they usually go early.Rivers will be long gone.
