Colors signify the Giants needs.
Red- Immediate need
Yellow- Moderate need
Green- Good to go

Best Available players as of round 3:

QB- any faith in the Pilsbury throw boy if Eli goes down with an injury?
John David Booty - USC
Kevin Oconell - SD State
Eric Ainge- Ten
Andre Woodson- UK
Dennis DIxon- Oreg
Colt Brennan- HW

RB- We are good with B. Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw
Jamal Charles- Texas
Kevin Smith- C. Fla

WR- We need someone to keep coverage from shifting to Buress, Toomer is not getting any younger
Early Doucet- LSU
Andre Caldwell- Florida
Mario Manningham- Mich St.
Adrian Arrington- Michigan
Justin Harper- VT
DaCody Fa-gg- Fla St.
Jeron Harvey - Houston
Adarius Bowman0 - OK State
Maurice Purify- Neb
Paul Hubbard- Wisc

TE- Shockey stayed put. Unlikely he is traded now. Boss as a backup/ double tight- we are straight

OL- Could always use one more guy but this is a strength of the team
Oniel Cousins- UTEP

DL- Another Strength of the team
Pat Sims- Auburn
Cliff Avril- Purdue
Marcus Harrison- Arkansas

LB- We are almost yellow here with Pierce, Kiwanuka, Gerrison and Clark but it could be much worse
Xavier Adibi- VT
Jeremy Thomson- Wake Forest
Dan Connor- PSU
Tavares Gooden- MIA
Brian Kiehl- BYU
Ali Highsmith- LSU
Rodick Johnson- OK State
Phillip WHeeler- GA Tech

Safety- Drafted Phillips, but little depth
Marcus Griffin- TX
DuJuan Morgan- NC St.
Thomas DeCloud- Cal
Quentin Demps- TX-El Paso
Josh Barrett- AZ St.

CB-Terrell Thomas is a nice pick and all the Blue Chips are gone Webster?
Justin Kin- PSU
Chevis Jackson- LSU
Charles Godfrey- Iowa
Zack Ikeguonu (criminal) - Wisc

There's 40 players that I'd be happy with right there, some more than others. However, if there is one thing that I have learned about Jerry Reese....Expect a sleeper not on this list. If that happens I will be doing some more reading.

I think they should take either Ali Highsmith, a linebacker or a reciever like Mario Manningham...

Either of these guys would be a big help, but we shall see.

And I am very happy with the pick Jonah...Giants have a lot of offensive weapons.

Manningham is basically a fly WR - just have him run a straight line downfield.

GRADING SYSTEM

Video Highlights

Position:
ILB
Class:
Sr
School:
Vanderbilt
Conference:
SEC
Ht., Wt.:
6-2, 245
40 Time:
4.73

BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter who also saw extensive action with the first-team as a freshman. All-Conference selection the past two years most recently totaling 113/6.5/3 as a senior when he intercepted two passes and broke up one more. Junior totals included 93/6/2.5.

POSITIVES: Strong, physical run-defending linebacker that flies around the action to make positive plays. Displays a good head for the ball in run defense, quickly fills gaps up the field and plays with a nasty attitude. Immediately locates the ball carrier, scrapes well laterally and fluid moving to the flanks, showing ability in pursuit. Attacks the action, plays with a nasty attitude and chases hard to get involved. Remains disciplined in coverage and rarely off his feet.

NEGATIVES: Does not get great depth on drops and displays marginal ball skills. Over-pursues the action and does not consistently take proper angles to the play. Not a secure tackler.

ANALYSIS: Goff has been a steadily improving linebacker and comes off a career senior campaign which was followed by a terrific performance at the combine. He offers a lot of possibilities as a starting middle linebacker in the NFL.

PROJECTION: Middle Second Round

Hey, Ali Highsmith is still available...maybe if he's there for the Giants, they'll stab him...they really need linebackers...granted they have 3 6th round picks they could load up with linebackers.
