Andre Woodson? A 24-year-old QB with lots of potential when Eli is here? Eli is coming into the prime of his career and is the franchise QB, so how is Woodson going to get any playing time? Not that I care, because having depth is important, but I wonder why he'd draft a QB that could be a franchise QB on a team that doesn't have a franchise QB. Otherwise I am happy with the draft, Kenny Phillips will be a big help and Mario Manningham will be another playmaking WR like Burress.

Poor guy has potential but he's not going to get a chance if he stays here.

because if he develops and matures and shows good stuff in practice and exhibition gams etc. we might be able to take a 6th round pick and parlay that into a 2nd or 3rd rounder down the road .. everybody wants qb's and there arent many good ones in the league anymore

I can understand if Eli was 37 years old, but he's only 27 and Woodson is 24 and Eli is like his brother as far as staying healthy, he never gets hurt. Even if Woodson is pretty good, what do you do with him? Let him warm the bench?

i just tried to point out that the giants are trying to develop him and take a 6th round pick and hopefully trade him in a year or two for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.. thats what philly did a couple of years ago, they drafted a qb in the lower rounds, developed him and traded him for a 2nd rounder.. thats pretty good

Well I guess that's not a bad idea, if it works and Reese gets good picks that would be great.

Oh well, that's part of the learning curve. I remember when the Eagles did it with Feeley, the Packers did it with Hasselback, and the Falcons did it with Schwab. It is a great idea if they can develop him properly.
