sat112985 Posts: 0	The Drury/Briere dynamic in Buffalo was and is still today very interesting. A lot of fans feel Drury somehow slighted the Sabres and the Sabres in turn slighted Briere however they blame Quinn because Golisano basically has turned over the financial decisions to him. I love Drury and his loss of leadership was evident as we missed the playoffs last season. Briere was a fantastic player but I am ok with the team not resigning him because he is small and soft which is what the Sabres have enough of. I loved Drury's time in Buffalo and I think his leadership really rubbed off on Vanek. Vanek used to be lazy and a reincarnate of Alexander Mogilny before Drury, since Drury left Vanek is an absolute beast and is the clear leader of this team.
