Well, the Rangers are down 0-3 after 2 periods and they are not playing well. The officiating isn't really helping either; it's pretty obvious Bettman got to them just like he does for the Pens.

The Rangers are doing just what I'd like them to do in a 0-3 hole though. Beat the heck out of the Caps in the 3rd but keep it clean enough where they don't get suspended. The Rangers still have home ice if they go down 2-1, so work the body and if a goal or two happens to go in, then reevaluate.

The only thing Zherdev seemed to have in the second half of the season is a flair for the dramatic. Each goal he seemed to score seemed to be a big one. I'd love to hear Kenny Daneyko with some commentary about Zherdev; want to talk about a guy who's tough on underperforming Russian players.

These calls are absolutely driving me crazy. One phantom high stick; one that was barely incidental contact. Drury has still got to be wondering where his penalty was. Avery gets treated like a ragdoll and then gets called for next to nothing (although I do understand the refs position for the goaltender interference call, it had to be made).
