...that's all, folks.

Caps dominating again, and Henrik is mortal. Down 3-1 after one period, and it will only get worse from here.

Game 7 will be close for oh, about a period, as the Rangers play like turtle. But the Caps will crack the shell late 1st or early 2nd, and then, as the Big Whistle used to say: 'It's Katy, bar the door', Jim.

I agree. frown indeed. Well said.

And that sequence tells you all you need to know.

Zherdev misses a wide open net on the backhand, and the Caps come down with Kozlov evading the hipcheck, beating the 2nd defenseman coming over late, flipping the puck over Lundqvist, and just for good measure, to add insult to injury, barrelling into the net and giving Henrik a forearm shiver to the head.

The Rangers are sadly outclassed, and any game that Lundqvist isn't Superman is a Caps' rout.

Naslund missing the empty net was a killer too. Could easily have been 4-3.
Although I will be glad when the Rangers are out because I really can't bear anymore of this officiating.
How can you justify giving Dubinsky 14 minutes when Brashear gets nothing for a dirtier hit.

I am seriously considering canceling my center ice next year, I refuse to give any more money to the NHL.
I will find another way to watch the rangers.

Ahhh...here come the traditional 3rd period make-up penalties to pseudo-put the Rangers back into the game, and to give the false impression that the refereeing is fair because the number of power plays will be closer.

And a 2-man advantage is sufficient for the Rangers to get command of play and score a goal.

It's 5-2. Yay.

Now let's see if they do anything with a 1-man advantage.

Edit: And the answer is no, they didn't.

You can expect the refs to even out the calls for the Rangers while they're trailing and when there's little time left. LOL.

And another laughable 5 on 3 when its too late to matter.

Even if they score here, it's just to set up the Big Tease.

And here's an indictment of the Rangers' organization:

Tom Poti, who did little or nothing in over 3 years with the team, is a stalwart defensemen for the Caps.

Well in all honesty Tom Poti hasn't done much anywhere. Even in DC he hasn't been that good.
