Pittsburgh - Crosby, Malkin
Washington - Ovechkin
Carolina - Staal
Chicago - Towes and Kane
All made it. And do you know whats interesting, the officiating has been one sided for these teams. devilish I don't think its a coincidence *whispers*

You cannot really blame the officiating when the Devils gave up 2 goals in under 90 seconds.

I am not a big conspiracy person but you really have to wonder now with a second round matchup of Caps-Pens.
As far as the Carolina-Jersey series goes, I think Brodeur is more of an NHL posterboy than Staal, so I am not sure that really works out that way. Carolina was hot coming into the playoffs and they will be tough to beat imo.

The officiating however is really suspect. How the Caps don't get called with 7 players on the ice is beyond me. Avery getting wrecked around the ice away from the play with no call is questionable, along with no call on the betts hit and numerous other incidents. If you are going to call interference on Girardi in the first last night call it that way throughout the entire game. Early in the series the rangers were going hard on the forecheck after the dump in. Eventually the caps plan to overcome this was to just hold up the attacker after the dump in. That is textbook interference but the caps got away with it every time, I have no idea why and it was pretty obvious.

Sometimes when I watch the NHL I wonder if I am watching a professional league or a house league.
