Great for us, we have bombed Colon, leaving him with a dumb look on his face every time. Thanks Boston!

colon is done, after his latest surgery he lost his mid to high 90's velocity, he was uper 80's low 90's most of last year im not really concerned about this move, as for garcia i can see him going to the mets, i think he met with them last week

Bring on Eric Gag-me part deux!! This guys rotator cuff is shredded... that doesn't just fix itself. If the Red Sox sign Pavano after he's done robbing the Yankees will that worry anyone? Colon just got finished doing basically the same (minus the one great season) to the Angels.

Seems like an emergency starter signing... not a guy they are going to trust to pitch every five days.

Theo sure doesn't look like the #1 GM is baseball today. I guess the scouts didn't give him his career numbers vs the Yankees.

exactly and yet they are rated ahead of the Yankees when it really isn't close. Their excuse is position players, well who is more important the pitchers or the hitters and their position players haven't nearly gotten the high marks that a Montero, Jackson, Romine, Tabata have gotten. If its the Yankees against the pro boston world then so be it.

So much for the so-called depth of Boston's pitching if they have to go out and sign a risk in Bartolo Colon. After Beckett, questions marks spring up. Matsuzaka is looking like "Fat Toad" Irabu. Wakefield has a creaky back ready to act up at any time. Lester hasn't pitched a full season and seldom lasts more than 5 innings. Buchholz had only September appearances before being shut down for the year. Only those buying into what Peter Gammons says will believe Boston has a "lights out" staff.
" I'll drink East River water before smelling the air of Boston. "

i agree totally............BY THE WAY...............their position players aren't better either...............
|
|
sandman...........you are right on. gammons was on today with tons of boston garbage...........what do you think of the top 15-20 young pitchibg arms we have ?

Even Beckett, believe it or not, is a question mark.
He never had back-to-back great seasons and he's a blister problem just waiting to happen.
Is there anything else to be said?
