I root for the Cubs in the NL, and I was kinda hoping the Mets would slip in so that I could see a Cubs playoff game.


Then I said to myself, "@#$% the Mets" - Seeing them choke AGAIN is much more rewarding...


LOL


This is not in any way sour grapes, but I honestly feel better about the way the Yanks went out than I would have if it happened the Mets' way. They had it in their hands, and they let it slip away.... AGAIN.

So can the Mets fans still think Willie R is a bust ??? I don't see Manuel getting the job done either. Seems to me the fault lies elsewhere.

yea I know they are from this yr but boy they look just like last yrs pics thats why its so funny. The only thing thats different is manuel being the manager

Seriously, with the Mets losing like this, and the "celebration" of their "beloved Shea" (what a dump) being more like a funeral, it makes this season not seem so depressing to me.

yea its not as depressing. It would have been better if the yanks made it but hey the mets are sitting right there next to the yankees watching the playoffs

Wonder why the Mets opted to have their farewell to Shea ceremony after the game? Do you think those fans felt like sitting through a post game goodbye to Shea after getting knocked out of the playoffs?


Because they're the Mets... LOL! Must have been some farewell celebration! blush
