I didn't have a problem with the mitchell report.

What I had a problem with was when Selig came out and said something to the effect of ( I don't have the exact quote) "this is the definitive report on steroids in baseball" when anyone with some common sense could see right through it.

It was clearly biased and way too narrow in scope, for whatever reason.

btw, Ortiz's statement today was a total joke. I personally like how the red sox organization was "blindsided". I mean really just about everyone knew he was probably using. Blindsided? come on.


I agree, how could he have been blindsided when they were informed about the test? I bet he's going to try and say that it may have been in his protein shakes and he didn't realize he took steroids. Which will be a pile of horse dung.

I knew he was trying to cover his butt way back when when he claimed that he may have taken something that was in his protein shakes. Unless he confesses, it will be a bunch of malarky that he will be coming out with to try to cover his own behind and save face. He took steroids, he knows he did steroids and any other BS he tries to spin is just that, a bunch of BS.

There are a few reasons why i would not trust that list:
1) I would say at the absolute maximum, i know the names of 20% of MLB players, yet I recognize about 80% of those names. Steroids use was clearly not limited to big time players, and this list has a disproportionate number of stars on it.
2) If someone on the internet could get a hold of the names from that list, don't you think that professional journalists whose job it is to find this stuff would have found it long ago?
3) Most importantly, there is not a shred of evidence supporting the list's legitimacy.

Well when the news hit, Ortiz was still in Boston ... so I'm pretty sure Ms. Piggy Roberts was there before the game even ended ... she will be peeking into his bedroom windows for months now so she can write another book!
