April 1, 2008, vs. Blue Jays. Win #1.

1. Melky Cabrera (Game tying HR, 2 stellar defensive players to save the game)
2. Chien-Ming Wang (1-0: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 2 K)
3. Alex Rodriguez (drove in first Yankee run with 2 out, 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI, great glovework)

Leaders:
Melky Cabrera (3)
Chien-Ming Wang (2)
Alex Rodriguez (1)

Wang went 7 strong though, Yes Melky did help him out with defense, but the 2 runs Wang gave up were pathetic groundouts.

huh what is this? why are you trying to copy my MVP, LVP idea?

You're "tallies" are not interactive.. you have to let people vote man!

Psssst. I've been doing this on the YES board since 2005. And unlike you, I don't do losses, nor do I do LVPs. Furthermore, they're MY tallies. I know KellyStinkett33 chimes in with his own tallies per game. Mine (and his) are noticeable because we keep track and are faithful.

That was NOT a dribbler - unless you consider Hill diving desperately for it because it looked "cool".

Talking to you is like talking to a gelatinous cube. Ignored.

Surrounded by lined SHOTS and bullets down the line. There was nothing "strong" about Wang's perf til the final inning.

He was saved by a lot of great plays. I'm not saying he didn't do anything - Melky just was better. That's why Melky is #1, and Wang is #2.

well yes, but the defense is supposed to back up the pitcher, isnt that their job? I agree that Melky had a great game, but doesnt it all start with pitching?

Are you expecting those plays as routine? shocked If Melky doesn't make diving catches on screaming line drives, it'll be HIS fault and NOT the pitchers?

I concur with your assessment. If there were a number four I actually might put Giambi in there. That was a big baserunning play he made and he was pretty decent at first. I agree that Wang was okay but kind of lucky tonite. He wasn't overpowering. Melky's second catch was outstanding. Full speed. Stretched out. Tough to maintain your balance and hold the ball. Great play. Lifted the team also.
