Maybe you should look at each tally one by one. And Wang did struggle in some games.

Jonah, your player of the game is not acceptable. Please go back and review the game tape and get back to me. For now on, I will judge each and every one of your player of the game posts and I will grade them so if you don't want a failing grade, I suggest you review your choices carefully. Today you chose Damon. I give you a B for that. If you chose Mussina, I might of given you a perfect score.

7 hits in only 6 innings? No way. Your expectations for Mussina are so low that you'll accept that as if he went 9 IP, 1 R, 11 K. Damon had 12 total bases, and allowed Girardi to rest the good relievers and toss in Hawkins, Ramirez and Veras.

Problem is the Yanks only have 17 wins. It's a long season.

You said Derek Jeter. I'll give you an A - for that. I might of given you an A if you posted with just a little more enthusiam. Overall, you looked at the game, viewed it, took your chances and selected Jeter. Not a bad choice. A -

Not bad, not bad. Damon was clearly the player of the game. You searched inside yourself Jonah and felt what needed to be done and picked the right player as player of the game. I'll give you an A- for that pick.
