In order for the Knicks to entice big name players to come play here, they need to keep Wilson Chandler, Toney Douglas, Danilo Gallinari, Al Harrington, Jordan Hill, David Lee, Darko Milicic and Nate Robinson. You can build a team around these players plus THERE ALL YOUNG which is good cause they have upside. Put LeBron and Bosh and future players we draft, we could do some damage.

I have a feeling this team will be gutted.  Hill, Douglas, and Gallinari will be back.  Chandler could be trade bait to entice someone to take Jefferies contract.  The goal should be two FAs (if they can shed either Curry or Jefferies contract).  Bringing Harrington on a reduced contract would be good.  I do not want anymore of Lee.  Robinson makes you scratch your head - but what a game changer and nice talent off the bench.

"I felt like we weren't going the way I wanted us to," said Mattingly when asked why he wanted a trade. "The Yankees said they had a five-year plan. I didn't have five years."

From the NY Times, August 16, 1991 on the topic of trading Don Mattingly at the time.  That five-year plan would later turn into four championships in a five year span (and one other championship almost a decade later in 2009 with a core group of players hatched from that original plan).  And a new Yankees' dynasty would be born.  Patience is a good thing.
