Is it just me, or were the nominations for this year incredibly weak? Even last year wasn't great, but at least most of the albums that were nominated had been critical and commercial successes. This year it seems like the put the ten best sellers of the year in a hat and drew 5 names. IMO< there isn't one legitimate candidate amongst the 5 that got picked. This show has lost damn near all integrity for me after this debacle. The individual genre categories aren't bad, but for "Album of the Year" to come down to a face-off between Lady Gaga and Beyonce is an absolute joke.
