Hey Newinn,

You and I might not even walk accross the street to street to see it, but a lot of folks would snap up People or the National Enquirer if they had pics **** that!!

Hey Rob

Long time no speak. How ya been. Been a very slow off season hasn't it? Not even any good rumors. I hope things pick up at the winter meetings. I just told Big in his thread that my gut tells me the Yanks are going to sneak up and make a big move or 2. I hope so anywayWink

me neither !! i just hate how they pick and choose who they go after and who they wanna cut slack on !! i even saw one of the wood's articles bring arod's name into it by making an allegation that one of the girls who woods was seeing also was linked to arod and jeter , if that was true every media outlet in the city would have been on top of that !! theyre a bunch of scoundrels !!

It is incredible how the media seems to pick and choose who they are going to knock off the mountain top. Why is is do you think as a country we love building these guys up and then tearing them down. I'm so glad the media wasn't like this when I was a kid so I could look at a very flawed guy like Mantle and not know how flawed he was. I think having idols (in addition to their parents) is healthy. Kids today probably idolize guys like TO and Alan Iverson because they figure none of these guys are any good and it's almost fashionable to root for the bad guys

I'm a big A-Rod supporter and I do feel at times that the media has overstepped their bounds by prying into his personal life but Alex Rodriguez up until this past season was always a magnet for controversy.  At times whether intentionally or not, Alex always seemed to be his own worst enemy as far as the media would go.  We'll see if his new attitude along with the fact that he was a postseason hero this past October will have a bit of a "halo effect" and cause the media to allow the man to have some privacy.

PS: The media was anything but classy when it came to Tiger Woods these past few weeks in my opinion anyhow.  They hounded the poor man to the ends of the earth over an incident that probably wouldn't make news except in the "Little Town Gazette".
