And the 2 yard loss followed by a first down on a missed tackle.

Cue Jonah going ballistic w/ another sinking boat image in 5 . . .4 . . 3 . . . 2. . .

"I felt like we weren't going the way I wanted us to," said Mattingly when asked why he wanted a trade. "The Yankees said they had a five-year plan. I didn't have five years."

From the NY Times, August 16, 1991 on the topic of trading Don Mattingly at the time.  That five-year plan would later turn into four championships in a five year span (and one other championship almost a decade later in 2009 with a core group of players hatched from that original plan).  And a new Yankees' dynasty would be born.  Patience is a good thing.

Let's see... the Panthers were eliminated and have nothing to play for. The Giants need to win or be bounced from the playoffs. The Giants had a long drive.

Then Forrest Gump loses the football, Ron Dayne keeps getting stuffed, and the awesome defense shows its form - 5 plays for 2 or more losses, but still only stopped ONE third down.

Even though Manning has only ONE INCOMPLETION.

Awesome kickoff return by Hixon. Nearly fumbles it, can't even get to the 15, ends up on 13.

"For a team with everything to play for, they don't seem to have any energy on either side of the ball."

Hey - just making a prediction/ observation - though I did not predict the Fat Lady singing - dang - I need to do better w/ my predictions of your poster - for that I have let you down.

The New Orleans Taints seem to be wide awake this week. Tell me they weren't dogging it for the Cowboys last week.
