He's reportedly waiting for Coughlin to get axed, this year or next year.

Reportedly by whom?  Coughlin is the best coach the Giants have had since Parcells.  There's no reason to get rid of him.

I saw this on ESPN. I don't want "The Chin" in NYC. I think Coughlin is still the best fit for this team, and is still a much better coach.

Appparently Cowher told the Bus in confidence and he broke the story.

Best fit? How? You saw what the players did, right? They already voted Coughlin out.

Hey J2B. Evan Roberts and Joe Benigno were talking about it on WFAN this morning. At least that's where I heard it.

I just read an article in the Post where Bettis speculated about this on Mad Dog's Sirius show, but that is of course an opnion.  Were the guys on WFAN commenting on Bettis's speculation, or is it actually reported somewhere that Cowher is seeking the job?

They were talking as if Bettis actually reported his conversation with Cowher.

It was on ESPN, they mentioned it. They didn't say anything about him "waiting" for the starting job, though.
