You gotta love it. {Tiger just eagled 8 and birdied 9. So much for "pressure."}

They did a poll today in the Boston Globe asking, "should the Red Sox give Big Papi all of April to get it going or should they think about working Lowell into the DH slot  ASAP?" The vote? So far it is 75% saying, "start thinking about working Lowell in." Of course Papi's history sort of distorts everything. He was dominant for a number of years. Now that he is very human an might even be a little over the hill it makes him look like a bum but I'd say the Sox fans feel his best days are definately behind him. I can't say I disagree.

David Robertson turns 25 tomorrow. I think the Yankee bullpen has the chance to be really outstanding this year. Marte is always an adventure but the combination of Park-Aceves and Robertson-Chamberlain leading up to Rivera could be strong.

Rivera is unbelievable. The guy is nearly 41 years old now. Incredible.

The Yankees look very confident to me. Not cocky or arrogant just very confident. Cano is a veteran now. He's no bright eyed kid anymore. That could be bad news for Yankee opponents. Gardiner looks comfortable. I don't think he'll try to do more than he is capable of. Needs to straighten that throw out a little. Swisher looks solid. Arod and Texieira will get it going. So will Johnson. He hit a bee-bee to right yesterday which Drew caught.

Red Sox fans aren't too high on JD Drew right now either. I guess there is some outfield prospect they are talking about working in to his position. A couple homers could change that.

Right now, I don't see why alot of people were drooling over the Red Sox bullpen. It is not like they have Rivera, Stanton, and Wetteland out there.

Hope you enjoyed the weather while it lasted. {I hope Tiger wins the Masters and does a guest spot on the Oprah Show and sings, "I did it my way."}

Golf =! good person. Let me know when Tiger really contributes to mankind in some way. Or has a backbone (like Jim Brown or Muhammed Ali.)

Jim Brown?  how has slapping his women around contributed to mankind?   what kind of "backbone" hits a woman?

I am glad the fans in Boston are beginning to realize that Papi sould be gone after this year. He did what he did because he has been juicing for a long time, I kept pointing this out over and over. The Juice is probably out of the body, so now he is not the monster he was.

When it comes to Papeldumb I am glad he got a lesson last night, he always seems so arrogant and cocky! Rivera schooled him.

It's crazy to think how far papi has fallen. I mean yrs ago every yankee fan would sit there and think be careful with papi and of course the yankees weren't careful and papi made the team suffer. But now it's like the yankee pitchers have no fear of him. How many times last yr did we see the pitchers on our team challenge him. Now of course he'll go on a little run in the season and ppl will say papi is back blah blah blah but then he'll just fade like he did last season

The difference with Arod, Bonds and Manny -- They were a freak of nature and didnt need HGH to be a succesful player. But David Arias is a different story.

Oh come on now! That's a wild accusation to make without any proof.

Paplbom hasn't lost his velocity, he's just not pitching well. He's pumping purely fastballs 90% of the time and hitters are getting on it. If he were to get location back and throw more breaking balls or offspeed stuff to offset and keep guys honest, he would go back to being one of the best closers in the game. I have no doubt he will get his saves again this season.

He's no Mo, but nobody is...... but he's certainly not chopped liver. The Sox would be foolish to just let him go after his contract expires, and if they did so.....I can assure you the Yanks would take a look (if Mo does retire).

Art, do you really expect that nimrod to understand? That's like saying a serial killer and a speeder deserve equal punishment.

Oh yea the yankees will definitely take a look because of what you just stated about him being one of best in the game. If Mo decides to give the yankees one more yr then I do think it would be out of the question if they signed Papelbon at the end of the 2011 season
