Sox hurting?

Dreadful, 9 stolen bases in 5 innings.  If Guerrero stole a base with his balky knees, things are looking bad for Martinez as the Rangers steal at will.

I think a better option is for Varitek to catch and Martinez DH.  Papi is not hitting a lick anyway as a DH, at least Varitek is a better defender and he most certainly would not allow 9 stolen bases.  Although...has Varitek ever caught for Wakefield????

Always proud to be a Yankee fan.

They scored two runs on what should have been a GRD.  The ball obviously bounced into the stands and back onto the field on replay but the umpires made a bad call.  Ron Washington was pissed.  He came onto the field wagging his finger in the umpire's face, surprised he didn't get tossed.

David Ortiz got benched in the bottom of the seventh inning with runners on first and third and two outs.  Tito elected to have Mike Lowell pinch hit for Ortiz and Lowell drew a walk.  When Ortiz was benched and Lowell came out of the dugout to PH the Fenway crowd roared with approval.  However, it was all for naught as with bases loaded Jeremy Hermedia hit a chopper to first for the final out of the inning.

Sox just tied it.  Darnell McDonald a thirty-one year old journeyman went deep off Darren Oliver.  Man Oliver must feel like a sucker right now.

Wow they blew it! - I'll be surprised if they lose this series to Boston, if Ron Washington isn't fired.  The Rags coughed up a six run lead and allowed a journeyman ball player to tie it in the eighth and beat them in the ninth.
