It's 366 pages. It would be tough, but you might be able to do it if you are very fast, although you really shouldn't rush through it; it's a great story.

OK so it took me around 8-10 hours to read and I have to say it had to be one of the most boring books ever WRITTEN. I really can't comprehend how it's an "American classic" or how you can say it has a great story. Heres the story in a nutshell-

Huck is adopted by a widow and her sister, he doesn't like being civilized but eventually starts to like school a little, then his dad comes and gets him and takes him away, he always gets drunk and locks him up in the cabin when he goes to fish and do other useless stuff which Twain describes in annoying detail. Back to the EXCITING story- Huck escapes from the cabin and FAKES HIS OWN DEATH BY USING PIG BLOOD- how intelligent.. Then he finds Jim ( a servant for the widow and former slave ) on an island. They then find a raft after a storm comes up and they go up and down the river..YAYAYAYAY!! Then huck learns people are after Jim so he must decide whether to help him runaway or not.............what a decision....... So Huck takes him and Jim and they have an "adventure" with a bunch of robbers and loot stuff from their trip then Huck lies to slave catchers that the man inside the wigwam is his father who has smallpox ( so he was all nice by helping Jim and he became all thankful which made Huck feel all bad for him) Then a steamboat wrecks their raft and they have to separate. Huck gets taken up in a aristocratic house who is having a fued with another family. They get into a gun fight after the sister marries a guy from the other family and then Huck goes off with Jim who magically turned up the forest because he followed him.. yayayaya!!! off to the river again- They meet 2 con men who claim to be duke and the dauphin. They do a bunch of scams to raise money, even acting as if they were the brothers of a recently deceased man so they could get rich. The plan fails but they ALL get a way........back to the river- After another stop Huck learns that the duke sold Jim and he goes to get him. The family takens him in for Tom Sawyer and he plays along. Tom arrives and he wants to do an elorborate USELESS PLAN to get Jim out. Twain wastes like 50 pages here describing the ridiciolous things that Tom does and Huck goes along with??????????? So they get Jim out, run away from a bunch of farmers who shoots Tom in the leg, Huck finds some doctors, goes back to Sawyer's Aunt and Uncle, Tom comes back OK from the wound and Jim is back as a prisoner. Then another Aunt shows up and says that Tom is really huck and Sid is really Tom. And then tom reveals that Jim was really freed two months ago from Mrs. Watson's will but he got him freed all for the dumb and USELESS game. Then Jim reveals that Huck's dad is dead. And Huck doesn't want to be civilized the Aunt and Uncle, instead he wants to go on more USELESS trips with TOM.....YAY THE END.. NOW- can anyone give me any ideas on how to write a 4-5 page journal on this crap.. My teachers asks that I grapple with the serious issues that Huck is forced to grapple with as he makes his way down the river. I never connected to the book so this is going to be tough
