My Mom might have cancer.

I am very sorry to hear about the stress you have been under lately. Obviously, this is a tough time, but if she does have it, it seems like the earliest possible stage, which means that chances of recovery would be at its highest point. I hope you won't have to take solice in that fact, and its not PC, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Thank you for the kind words.

I don't know what Mom has..It could be pancreatic cancer, It could be a shadow.. OR it could be a pseudo cysts which are benign. The only thing I know is that Ive been doing research on PC for the past 6 days and It really doesn't seem that she has any symptoms. I'm just pi$$ed off  that  this so called Doctor hasn't told my mother anything for the past 9 days. What would you do if you knew your mother might have this deadly disease and the doctor was nowhere to be found?  I know she found the mark and all.. but there was no reason to tell my Mom on Nov 23 when she knew she wasn't going to be in her office until  the following Monday. I wish you could listen to this Dr's voicemail.. but this is basically what she said on my Moms voicemail.....

"Hi this is a message for Mrs **** this Is Dr ***** from the Dr's office...I just wanted to let you know that we got the results from the ultrasound, and I would like to discuss them with you...Give me a call at *** *** **** I'm not hear tomorrow (Nov 24th) and the clinic will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Ill be back on Monday (Nov 29th) but today I will be hear until 7 pm. So give me a call because you will need to have another test done, and I will give you instructions.

Unbelievable, this **** tells my Mom two days before Thanksgiving and my Mom couldn't do a darn thing about it. This lady must not have a soul. Oh , I forgot, on Tuesday my Mom got the MRI and the Dr still hasn't called. I know the MRI and Dr's office are separate offices ... but I was reading that some MRIs could be faxed over to the Dr's office immediately. ...I'm so aggravated!!

You aggravation is very understandable. I would have her call the MRI office and make sure its sent over ASAP; and then call the doctor. Basically, she has to make a stink and I am sure it can get done today if she does so.    I think it is very good news that she doesn't have any signs of the PC, and perhaps the doctor doesn't  really think it is anything which explains how laxed they are [although tthat doesn't excuse their actions here, they should not be making you guys wait so long].  I have had some medical emergencies in my family and I have found leaning on friends and family for support during these times is very helpful. Obviously nothing will make you feel whole until you know exactly what you are dealing with here, but expressing your frustration is a good thing. Hopefully, you will get very good news regarding this today; I know I will be hoping for it.

Great news! I'm sure glad all worked out for the best. Ya know, when I re-read that she has diabetes, many times when they begin to control it, they get pancreatic "issues". I wish I recalled that earlier whn you first posted. Any ways, give your Mom a huge hug, tell her Yankee land is happy for her and you and all your family have a Merry Christmas!
