If they were/are cheaters, why didnt Mr Hot Shot ask that they call back any HRs or RBIs when he was pitching on the mound?  As long as HE was on the receiving end of their big flies it's "ok" they cheated...MAYBE he should give back his ring?

If he used steroids when he was a Red Sock i'd be pretty mad. He ruined many days for me as a Yankee fan.

I agree with all of you. I bet everyone on that Red Sox Team knew what Manny and Papi were doing, but hey, they rode the ponies till they got two Tropies. So for Schilling now to call Manny a Cheater flies on face of decency. Jonah, I agree with you and the bloody sox, it was so phony! Schilling is like Clinton, Sharpton and Rev Jackson, they can't say no to an open microphone.

The Way I see it baseball had 80% of its players cheating. MLB decided to keep the names of the cheaters from becoming public, unless you played for the Yanks, then the name some how would be leaked. For a long time I said Ortiz was a user, never thought Manny would because Manny always had the skills. Clemens didn't need it either, and now look at the mess he is in. I  have complained over and over  that A-Rod, Giambi did their thing while playing for another Teams, yet you hear Yankee Players used Roids.

Clemens started using the stuff with the Blue Jays and then kept doing while with the Yanks. Clemens pointed Andy to his trainer or whoever gave Andy the stuff he needed to heal his injury sooner. Pujol is loaded, but unless he comes to the Yanks his name will be protected. I still think Griffey used it too. His Godfather is Barry Bonds and Jr said Barry told him back I think in 1998 that he was going to start doing it because everyone was doing it. I guess he was envious of Mac and Sosa hitting so many HR. Remember Brett Boone ?Suddenly he has a  monster year and then he can't find employment and has to retire. Who can forget Palmeiro? And I wouldn't be surprised to find Brade Anderson in that group. So many of them are cheaters, but their dirty deed of cheating baseball will be kept quiet, of course, unless they all done pinstripes then the litany of names will be printed.

Iam pretty sure the pundits have tried over and over to see if Jeter takes the stuff. Well Jeter is above that.

And you wonder why every teammate Schilling's ever had hates him, even guys like Mark Grace.

Where was Schilling with this accusation when he was in front of Congress? Where was he with this accusation when he was Manny's teammate? And where was Schilling with this accusation when Manny was suspended for taking a fertility drug?

Schilling stayed silent for way too long. He should just shut up now. He lost his chance to speak.

I have a few comments...

First of all, the sock is real.  I know first hand that it's real.  I work in Boston and that's all I can say.
Second of all, I was at that game.  I had a telephoto camera and I can tell you that the patch changed colors from red to brown as the blood dried.  it also changed size and shape as it bled.
I've also seen the sock in the hall of fame.  I can't say anything for sure about that sock, except it looked authentic.

Listen, don't be like them.  They won and that's all there is to it.  To sit here and "convince yourselves" it wasn't real just to make yourselves feel better is asenine.  Get over it.  You win some and you lose some.  Be happy The Yanks have more ticks in the "win some" column than anyone else.

Next comment- Mark Grace is a donkey.

How is Derek Jeter not the best hitter he ever faced?  Jeter used to knock him around.

Lastly, I would be careful what names I throw around accusing them of juicing.  Some may seem obvious but we still have no proof.

Seriously everyone, look at yourselves.  You're acting like a bunch of Red Sox fans.  Let's all try to be Yankee fans, ok?

I disagree Carp. RedSox fans killed the Yankee fans when the biased Mitchelll report came out. They acted like all those championships the Yanks won were tainted and they won there 2 fairly. They deserve heat but for some reason they don't get it. Ortiz says he must have had something in a protein drink and it's forgotten. Arod gets raked through the coals for admitting using. It's not a one way street.

As far as Schillings bloody sock, big freaking deal. He pitched with stitches on his ankel and it bled. Lets not make him out like he was a war hero. Sandy Koufax pitched great for a whole season with an elbow that hurt him so much that he had to retire. The guy a jerk and he proves it almost every time he opens his mouth. If Yankee fans want to rip him I say rip away. He deserves it.

Those moronic RedSox fans were on here day and night trying to irritate Yankee fans. Don't compare us to them. I'm not on SOSH starting it up like those east coast hillbillies.

Schilling in front of congress:  picture Ralphie from A Christmas Story when the teacher was asking the class about who made that kid put his tongue on the flag pole....  I know someone here will get this, I wish there was a pic out there showing the look on his face in that scene...

That is what I'm going to hate most about the All Star Game this year and this season. It will be the tenth aniversary of that $#@! getting his first World Series Ring.

That's what pains me the most about 01. We were so close in tagging that $#@! with the loss. And it all went to hell.

As for Schilling..read between the lines on what teammates he's played with, teammates whom he was a major part of helping win World Series Rings. They have nothing nice to say about him other than he's a good pitcher. He truly is one of the most unlikeable people to ever play the game.
