I continue to believe that when it comes to the Hall of Fame, you let everyone in ... but you put an asterisk on their plaque with an explanation that they used performance enhancing drugs and the information that is pertinent to that particular player in detail.  I also believe that every player in the entire era that enters the Hall of Fame should have a footnote on their plaque which states that they played in this particular steroid era.  Just because people weren't caught, doesn't mean they didn't use ... and for historical purposes, there should be clarification.

The whole steroid issue is a mess. It's very unfair to the players that did not use.  I don't know about letting everyone in...  there has to be consequences to those who may have had an advantage over the guys who didn't use. In Manny's case I honestly don't think he belongs, he knew the rules and continued to thumb his nose at them. It makes me very sad that a player of his talent, made the decision to basically flush his chances to be in the HOF down the toilet.

It's a hard call to who belongs and who doesn't.... I'm glad I don't make that call.

Well, to be fair, I feel you have to let everyone in ... because they haven't even let out the names of the list of players who used ... and even if they did, you can't prove you know everyone that used.

Manny's chances of getting into the Hall of Fame:

SELECT ONE: SLIM or NONE

Manny was so stupid about the whole thing. He was busted twice {for a pregnancy drug no less} and his name was also on a list. "Two out of three ain't bad" but "three out of three ain't good."

Someone like Arod if he smiles alot and keeps his nose clean and shows up at the Boys Club every once in awhile might get in eventually. Stranger things have happened. I don't think he'll get in initially but who knows? He''s done a nice job cleaning up his image the past couple years and he could eventually get in if he plays his cards right.

No proven or self-professed PED user belongs in the HOF. And Barry Bonds doesn't belong because he's a lair and complete a-hole.

After yesterdays AQUITTALS dont be so sure that Bonds doesnt make it! The prosecutors in Cali cant secure convictions if they had him pictures of him reading the bottle and injecting it in his a$$ on his own. He's laughing his jollies off!

Curry and others said he would have walked into the HOF but after twice failing he is a no. Do not cry for Manny, he did it all to himself.

back to Manny's fielding prowess...  we'd watch him on sportscenter all the time messing up plays, heck everytime they showed a Manny highlight they could have been playing the Benny Hill theme, but.......  didn't it seem that everytime he played in left against us he'd step up his game?  I mean there'd be a liner heading to left and we'd all smile "here's a double!" and out of nowhere Manny's glove would appear....  it's says a lot about the guy, if he gave it all 100% of the time he could have put up even more stagerring numbers....

If my vote decided the matter he wouldn't get in,  I'm not a big fan of the PEDs but can forgive it once but not twice. This is a team game and he's quit on his team any number of times for me that's just a big a strike against him as the second or third failed test.

I'm with you big time on this one Stripes. When you add in the fact that he quit on his team on numerous occassions in addition to being a 3 time steroid loser, if that guy gets in the Hall of Fame will have no signifigance to me what so ever
