Objectionable FOX News ads are enough to make me say NO to YES

As a decade’s long Yankees fan,I was listening to Mike’d Up yesterday and was appalled and ticked off by an ad for Fox news that I found to be objectionable, biased, completely misleading and basically anti American.

Ads from a corporation I disagree with are bad enough - but being force fed their offensive views when all I want to hear about is the Yankees & sports is intolerable.

The ad insisted that tax breaks for the ultra wealthy & corporations are necessary to our economy (when they were actually largely responsible for our current mess) – that "Obama-care" was disastrous for the country - that Al Sharpton's opinions were ludicrous -and then went on to endorse defunding Social Security, MediCare & Education programs - as well as breaking up organized labor. This is a slap in the face (and a chunk of $s out of the wallets) of the real Americans that made baseball America's game.

If YES wants to accept ads from Fox News (which is a misnomer – it ain’t news – it’s right wing opinion) – that’s their decision. But, the ads should stick to promoting watching the station. Letting them spout their venom to the audience is objectionable, and I will be discouraging as many people as possible from listening to this junk.

Should I hear this kind of reactionary BS on YES again –  I will not not only not listen to YES at all - but will boycott YES TV as well - if it starts showing up there (beyond the often biased Fox Business Report). And, I will encourage as many others who agree that "FOX is bad news for America" to join me in turning off YES.

Baseball was a game for blue-collar America - (that would be Joe Six-pack, not the Koch Bros.)

I’m sure the Rupert Murdoch & the tea party would break up the players union if they could (not that players aren’t almost as overpaid as the owners & network execs) - all at the expense of the fans that make baseball great.

These are the same jerks who have made going to a ballgame largely a corporate box event. Bleacher seats used to be less than a buck. Now it's hundreds of dollars for a family of 5 to go to a game, park, have a hot dog et. al. I say that sucks!

I’ll be amazed if anyone at YES or the Yankees reads this or has the courage to reply.

Go Yanks!

It's been going on for years - all of a sudden you're appalled?

This is the first time I really noticed the ads intensely promoting their reactionary racist political agenda vs. just encouraging susceptible gullible viewers to watch their BS.

Whether it's been going on for a while or has recently gotten worse - I, for one, will not support it by listening or watching - if I see or hear  it again

Welcome to the basement!

You're right about FOX Ruse. It's not unbiased reporting. It's fraught with right wing rhetoric, misinformation and conjecture. Joey Goebbels would be proud.

Just mute their **** like half of us down here do.

When you compare Yankee tickets to other entertainment, the price ain't so bad.   Yankee tickets are still more affordable than a Broadway show, a day a skiing, or Orlando area theme parks.  I took my family to Disney World a few weeks ago and it was about $500. a day, just to go to the theme park, throw in airfare and hotel and it was closer to a thousand.  And we went to a Yankee game a while back and it was under $200.

If you hate the corporate boxes maybe you should check out the Royals or the Pirates, their corporate fan base is much lower.  BTW, I don't remember any corporate boxes at Disney World.
