They don't need bats and gloves when playing th Sox. The Sox are done. Remember? Oh and Beckett is also finished

Beckett has been unbelievable newinn. Scary.

I saw the game he pitched the other night. It's tough writing off guys that have had success without major shoulder surgery and have the knd of stuff he has had in the past. Beckett is a bit like AJ in that he can implode anytime but his stuff is dynamite. By the way I've been enjoying your posts lately, even the ones I might not completely agree with

You know what I don't understand newinn {maybe I do understand actually} I'm not a big Baseball Tonight fan. Buster Olney, Kruk. I like Bobby Valentine when he talks the technicalities of hitting and stuff................but when someone like Olney talks about the LA Angels he'll talk about them like they are a really good team and if you see them and see their line up and even look at their starting pitching, they aren't that good at all. I think their line up is very mediocre. They don't have many guys who make you nervous when they step in the batters box yet all these baseball tonite guys talk about them like they are a "team to be reckoned with" and so forth and so on. When these guys talk about these teams like them and Tampa and other teams they act as though they are really strong teams when if you really look at their teams they have alot of holes and alot of weaknesses. I wonder if these guys on these shows are told that they have to "build everyone up?" What would happen if one of them came on and told the other point of view, "the LA Angels really are a mediocre team if you  look at their line up. They have mediocre power. They don't have alot of guys who are going to consistantly drive in runs and be productive day to day hitters. They don't have alot of depth. Their starting pitching is actually pretty thin after Weaver and Haren." If someone did that they'd probably get fired. Ever notice that all of these "experts" always build everyone up?

Aside from that 2009 playoff series against the Yanks, I have always thought Scocia is one of the few managers that has a serious impact on his team. They play as well fundementally as any team in baseball and generally speaking they don't beat themselves very often. For a long time they had the Yankees number and Boston had their number. Certainly not a spectacular offense and as you said not much depth but they are always a team that I'm kind of looking at over my shouldh.

I don't watch much of the baseball tonight or MLB stuff. I discovered a long time ago that they don't know much more then most AVID fans. I also have to confess that ever since pro sports had strikes, I pretty much only watch the teams I root for. Although since moving to Ct 6 years ago I'll watch the Red Sox once in awhile on NESN

The Angels looked horrible at the plate in the last two games. The only decent AB's I saw were from Bobby Abreu.

Not totally sold on Beckett... Wait until the hitters adjust to him second half of the season.

Adjust? Theyve been facing him for years! They know Beckett.
