Ok, I'll celebrate with some pics from my area.

Here's the Fatty Burger from MaxBurger in West Hartford. That's a grilled white cheddar cheese and tomato sandwich serving as the bun on top, and a grilled white cheddar and bacon sandwich serving as the bottom, surrounding a half pound of angus. Yumm!

From Louis Lunch in New Haven, home of the First Hamburger as seen a million times on Travel Channel. It's small, but very tasty.

The steamed cheeseburger from Ted's, also seen on Travel Channel, is a novelty but lacks the crispness of a grilled or broiled burger.

The steamed cheeseburger is rare outside central Connecticut. Ted’s, in Meriden and Cromwell, uses 5 ounces of ground beef, which are packed into small metal boxes and steam-cooked in a custom-made cabinet. Two-ounce blocks of steamed cheese come out molten and ready to pour over the patty.
