Posada is normally a straight shooter.  I thought he came off rather sly.

Problem is, Cashman can't trade Posada as a 10-5 player without Posada's permission. I'm willing to bet THAT was the conversation they had.

Posada: "I don't want to bat 9th."

Cashman: "Wanna be on another team? I can't trade you unless you agree to it."

Posada: "..........."

Cashman: "Well?"

Posada: "..........."

There was no straight shooting tonight ... from Jorge or from Girardi!

Too much lack of specificity. MAYBE he thought abt quitting and changed his mind!

OK this is not making sense at all....

- Cashman did an update with Fox and basically said what Girardi is saying... Posada took himself out... not injured...

- Posada never told ANYONE on the team he was hurting... yet is called his wife and told her....

- Girardi even said Posada told him nothing...

- Why would Posada talk to press... That is what he told Cashman... And Cashman relayed that to the press during interview...

- People are saying Posada felt disrespected about being bumped to 9th...

I don' know people... I know a lot of you are Posada fans, but I have to side with the Yanks... You don't tell your manager your back is hurting? yet you tell your wife and she tweets it and then says Jorge will answer questions after the game? Fishy...

That's why you don't hear from Cashman.

That's exactly what I think happened ... and he had to speak to his wife ... most people who are married speak to their spouse before quitting.

For the most part, I've been a Posada supporter, but he disappointed me today.

I wish Andy listened to his wife!
