Oh no!! It looks like my greatest fears may be coming true as this season winds down. Your 2011 NY Muets have lost 4 in a row and sit in 4th place. They have given up 3rd place to the Nats. Muet feathers have been tattered as their record of 60-67 shows. They hold a slim 3 game lead over the Florida Marlins, a team that nobody is certain whether they are playing baseball this year.
Our regulars have been injured and unable to provide the power and defense that we were counting on. This is clearly not Collins fault, I lay the blame on squarely on greedy MLB bankers and their overpaying ways for players like Mo Vaughn. Manager Terry Collins inherited the worst economy since the great depression when Yankee run teams won all those championships.
In just one short week, all the goodwill from our 9-1 home stand in April 2010 has disappeared.
I hope that one day we will once again walk with our heads held high....we were Kings of New York, now we let in 3 people for every one ticket purchased...
We were Kings! We were Los Muets!
